My first baby shower order!

My lovely cousin Dawn was invited to a baby shower next week and she thought a neatart4ursweet♥ original painting would make the perfect gift! I was so happy she thought of me. Like always my first question was, "What bedding did the mommy register for?" Right away she sent me the link to a sweet little princess blanky. It is actually the plush blanket that accompanies the Daniella bedding set by Cocalo. I was so excited because this was the bedding I was thinking about getting for my baby girl!

As soon as I got the image the ideas started circling in my noggin. I knew I la-la-loved the flower pattern and thought I would incorporate it as the background. We all know I am a sucker for hearts so I made the heart my focus point! A little scalloped edge to make it more dainty and a suddel stripe for elegance. I really like what I have so far but it is not finished yet...THE NAME IS MISSING!

This little bundle of joy's name has not been announced. Like many couples, my husband and I had a name picked out for our baby girl as soon as I got pregnant! We loved it because we all called her by her name when she was still in my belly instead of referring to her as 'the baby'. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I know a few people who chose to wait to name their baby until they meet them. I think this is great and adds excitement to the big day.

What did you do? Do you think you could wait until the big day? I have to admit that I don't think I could!

MY BRILLIANT IDEA! Wouldn't ordering a personalized neatart4ursweet♥ painting and opening it at your shower be a great way to surprise your friend and family while letting them in on your baby's name? I think I might just have to do it with my next baby. Sneakily place a beautifully wrapped painting onto the table with all of the other gifts, when you are opening the gifts pretend you don't know who it is from, make an announcement to the party to get their attention, open the gift, and then...voila! SURPRISE!

For now we just settled on 'Princess'...
